Stories for a Better World

Author

Anthea T. Piscarik

Greetings! Writing is my passion and sometimes my pain. My goal as a writer is to tell stories that inspire! But when the well runs dry, I call upon the Holy Spirit to direct and guide me to next steps. I’ve learned that writing is rewriting and the distance of time, whether a few minute pause or a month-long set aside, can create clarity. I’m presently working on a series of novels with characters connected by fate. I hope you join with me as I explore these fictional worlds that are not too far removed from our own realities! One of my favorite writers, Mark Twain, said, “Truth is stranger than fiction…because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; truth isn’t.” As writers, may our stories hold truth in ways we only dreamed possible! Truth be told!

Anthea means "like a flower"

My name is Greek for “like a flower” which has been my personal motif throughout my life! In first grade I played a daisy in a performance honoring our school principal. I still recall the head full of crepe paper white petals and how strange I felt, especially when I wanted to play a carnation! Flowers make us happy and joy-filled, and I hope my website does the same for readers!
